The surrounding area offers diverse excursions, such as the Kašovice fortress with its legend of a princess, the Countess’s Trail to the summit of Svatobor with a lookout tower, Mount Vidhošť with a stone bear sculpture, or the Nalžovské Mountains with the Prašivice Forest Park and a replica of the Irish castle Ballymote.

Educational and Historical Attractions

The “Povydří” educational trail along the Vydra River is a 7 km route with 12 stops, suitable even for wheelchair users, and offers refreshments in a log cabin on the riverbank. Additionally, you can visit the Museum of Historical Motorcycles and Bicycles in Kašperské Hory, which is one of the largest in the Czech Republic with over 170 motorcycles, 80 historical bicycles, and is continually supplemented with new exhibits.
